In response to this challenge CCS-SEAZ has developed several programs to uniquely provide this much needed service.  From the Transportation Office located in Douglas, multiple services to varied clients and locations are dispatched.

In Benson, Senior transportation is provided 5 days a week, 8 hours per day.  Service requires a 24 hour advance notice and covers the Benson, J-6 and St. David area.

Senior transportation takes clients from Elfrida to Douglas for Doctor appointments, nutrition services, and shopping one (1) day a week every other week.

In Willcox, Senior transportation is provided 5 days per week, an average of 5.5 hours a day.  Service to Bowie and San Simon is provided once per week.

In the communities of Douglas, Benson and Willcox, non-emergency medical transports are provided through a contract with Cochise Health Systems.  Non-Emergency transport service along with A Dial-A Ride service is provided 6 days a week when required.

Douglas Rides a deviated fixed route service is available in the City of Douglas and connects to Cochise Commuter, an inter-city service that makes 2 round trips per day from Douglas through Bisbee into Sierra Vista.  This service was developed to meet the needs of the low income, elderly, disabled and those needing transportation for employment, education and medical treatment including dialysis, radiation and chemo treatments.
