Immigration Legal Services

Becoming a United States citizen is a significant step for individuals who wish to fully participate in the American society and enjoy the privileges and rights that come with it. Citizenship offers many advantages, including the right to vote, the ability to sponsor family members for permanent residency, eligibility for federal jobs, and protection from deportation. Furthermore, being a U.S. citizen means being part of a diverse and vibrant community with a rich cultural heritage and a history of resilience and progress. In this sense, becoming a citizen is not only a personal achievement but also a contribution to the country's collective identity and shared values.

Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona understands the importance and significance of becoming United States Citizens. This is why we have implemented this special offer to assist lawful permanent residents (Green card holders) to become American citizens.

We invite permanent residents of Pima, Pinal, Graham, Santa Cruz, Yuma, Cochise, and Greenlee counties to apply for United States Citizenship using Catholic Community Services naturalization services. If you meet the following requirements, you can receive free preparation services for naturalization:

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have been a green card holder for five years (three years for those married to a United States Citizen)
  • You must live in one of the above-mentioned counties.

While the preparation fee may be waived for those who qualify, there is a $50 charge for the initial consultation to determine if you qualify for the waiver. Please note that the preparation fee waiver does not include the $725 processing fee that USCIS charges to process naturalization applications.

To learn more about this special offer, please call Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona at (520) 623-0344. The operator will take your contact information and transfer the information to the Immigration Department. A representative from the immigration department will then call you to schedule an appointment.

We have representatives who speak English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Dari, Swahili, and Kinyarwanda. For those who do not speak any of the above languages, we kindly ask you to bring your own translator to the appointment.

We also offer free English and Citizenship/Civil classes for those who qualify in conjunction with Pima Community College Adult Education. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to receive assistance with your naturalization process. Follow this link Citizenship Prep Classes or contact us today at (520) 623-0344 to get started.
