Catholic Social Service Santa Cruz Project

The Santa Cruz Project (SCP) provides supportive intervention to low-income individuals and families through case santa_cruz_1.jpgmanagement services.

What we do: The SCP provides supportive intervention through case management services. The main intervention is a home visit or accompanying clients to service appointments. Services may include: referrals to other agencies for needed services, advocating for services and benefits for clients, accompanying clients to appointments (e.g., teacher conferences and health care providers), and identifying a potential social support system with the individual or family, neighborhood, church, or other community based organization. Program is home-based, with case workers assessing clients in their homes.

Those we serve: Clients must be at least 18 years of age, be considered low-income, and be residents of  the City of South Tucson and the Tucson Metropolitan Area. Clients are required to sign a family participation plan when entering the program. The family participation plan includes their commitment to work with the case worker on resolution of family issues. There is no charge for this service.

How to reach our services for intake: Call (520) 388-9153, x 126 to discuss program services and requirements and to schedule a home visit.

Links: The SCP networks with fifteen to twenty organizations. Some examples are John Valenzuela Youth Center 792-9251; and CSS Immigration and Citizenship Program 623-0344 x1009. (And other CSS programs.)

Donations: The SCP accepts cash donations. This program needs clothes, new or in good, clean condition.
