Part of self-sufficiency is ensuring that families are stabilized with the basic needs of food, housing, clothing, and safety.  Housing staff provide services to facilitate this through transitional housing for homeless families, senior housing for low-income seniors, housing counseling for anyone considering a home purchase or needing help as a home owner in trouble with mortgage default or foreclosure, or as a renter who needs help with a landlord.  Families living in transitional housing receive case management and seniors receive a number of supportive services that includes a weekly wellness check for those who need it.  Emergency food boxes and clothing are available every week day year round for individuals and families.
