Counselor-Licensed

Position Purpose

Responsible for providing counseling services for individuals, couples, families, groups, adults and children in office and home settings, in accordance with agency professional, contractual and regulatory standards.  Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned. 40 hours per week.

Essential Functions

  • Provides individual, couple, group, and/or family counseling to children and adults in office setting or client homes; shows scheduling flexibility of both days and hours
  • Completes forms, consistent with department policies and procedures as well as State requirements
  • Conducts diagnostic interviews to assess for overall functioning and current problem, identify counseling and case management needs, and make referrals to outside services as appropriate
  • Develops treatment plans, collaboratively with clients, that are measurable and lead to positive behavior change, with periodic review and revision
  • Maintains case records and timely documentation on each client
  • Prepares and maintains clinical, program and agency reports and other written information, as required
  • Provides case management and advocacy in the areas of public benefits programs, education and other systems in the community
  • Participates in individual, peer and /or group supervision
  • May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field OR obtains license with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written communications are clear, concise, and organized
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and 39 months Motor Vehicle Report
  • Obtain State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • First Aid and CPR certification

  • Additional years of directly related experience
  • Bilingual, English / Spanish verbal and written
