Children who are removed from their parents’ custody need physical and emotional safety. We recruit and prepare families to welcome children into their homes and care for them. To show our commitment to the children and the foster families, we offer on-going supportive services to enhance the foster family experience. Our foster care specialists are on call to help place children and respond to foster families.
The greatest need is for foster families who will care for sibling groups and children age 4 and older – especially teens. We work with non-relative and relative foster homes.
Some children will not reunite with their family of origin, and we assist them in matching with an adoptive family. Our adoption certification staff can work with foster families or other community families in adopting available children.
