St. Elizabeth's Health Center

stelizabethpic.jpg

St Elizabeth’s Health Center was founded in 1961 as a faith based community health center to provide medical, dental and health care for the uninsured and underserved in our community.  Today, St. Elizabeth’s serves over 20,000 patients each year of all ages who do not have medical and/or dental insurance.  St. Elizabeth’s operates on a sliding scale fee basis with volunteer physicians and dentists available to help keep the costs of care affordable.

St. Elizabeth’s has been acknowledged by the Arizona Department of Health Services as the “gold standard” for their affordable care for uninsured working families in our community----with their unique model of care that partners a small paid staff with over 165 volunteer physicians, dentists and other healthcare professionals.  St. Elizabeth’s continues to develop and offer innovative services such as telemedicine and telepsychiatry, along with group care models, cooking demonstrations, community health worker (promotora) neighborhood outreach and alternative medicine options for patients.  St. Elizabeth’s Health Center continues to partner with many community hospitals and organizations to assure that patients needing medical and/or dental care will have access in our community to the highest quality of care.
