Catholic Community Services Announces Merger with Good Neighbor Alliance to Strengthen Homeless Support Services
TUCSON, Ariz. - (January 22, 2025) - Catholic Community Services (CCS), a leader in providing care and services to vulnerable populations, is proud to announce its merger with Good Neighbor Alliance, a trusted nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals achieve social self-sufficiency since 1998. This partnership represents a significant step forward in addressing the needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness across Southern Arizona.
The merger unites the strengths and resources of both organizations, ensuring more robust services, expanded reach, and a more profound impact on vulnerable populations. CCS and Good Neighbor Alliance will create a seamless continuum of care to provide emergency shelter, transitional housing, and critical support services.
“Since 1998, Good Neighbor Alliance has been a pillar of hope for Cochise County’s homeless community,” said Elena Dwyre, CEO of Catholic Community Services. “Through this merger, we combine decades of shared expertise to further our mission of helping individuals and families achieve stability, self-sufficiency, and a brighter future.”
Key Benefits of the Merger Include:
- Expanded Services: Enhanced support, including emergency shelter, transitional housing, mental health services, and job-readiness programs.
- Holistic Care: A greater focus on addressing the root causes of homelessness to foster lasting change.
- Regional Collaboration: Strengthened partnerships across Southern Arizona to maximize community impact.
Good Neighbor Alliance has provided compassionate, community-centered care in Cochise County for over 25 years. Its dedication to empowering individuals to achieve self-sufficiency aligns seamlessly with CCS’s mission to “Provide Help, Create Hope, and Serve All.” The two organizations will build on their shared legacy to address homelessness with renewed determination and innovative solutions.
An open house community event celebrating the merger will take place at 420 N 7th St, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635, on March 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. The event will include updates on program initiatives and an opportunity to meet the dedicated teams working to bring hope and transformation to those in need.
